High-power battery cells (Power / High Rate): Focusing on high-current explosive power
Features: Low internal resistance, supports continuous high-current discharge and large pulse peak current; stable high-power output in an instant, better heat control under the same discharge conditions; under the same size specifications, the capacity will be slightly lower than that of high-capacity cells; high discharge C-rate, suitable for shock loads, and has stronger overload tolerance.
Suitable for: Power tools, electric motorcycles, electric scooters, lawn mowers, garden equipment, vacuum cleaners, model aircraft, high-power LED flashlights, devices requiring instantaneous acceleration/burst, and high-power custom battery packs.
Not suitable for: Scenarios pursuing ultimate battery life, long-term low-current standby, or static energy storage; when used with continuous light loads, there is no advantage in battery life compared to high-capacity cells, and the cost is usually higher.
High Capacity / Energy Type: Focused on long battery life
Features: Higher energy density and larger cell capacity, providing longer battery life within the same volume; cell structure is geared towards energy storage design, with a lower conventional continuous discharge current, making it unsuitable for prolonged high-current or frequent peak-impact output.
Suitable for: Regular flashlights, outdoor power banks, small energy storage power supplies, monitoring equipment, sensor-based small appliances, night lights, rangefinders, low-power wireless devices, and devices operating continuously under light loads for long periods.
Not suitable for: Continuous high-current operation, frequent rapid acceleration, or high-power impact load scenarios; forced high-current discharge can easily lead to overheating, swelling, reduced cycle life, and safety hazards.
